Random Rambles

Crazy weather strikes again. It's warming up. I'm back to short-sleeves again but still toting around a coat.

The vegetable garden fared pretty well. The children will be pleased. We have some frost damage on the tomatoes despite covering them but how much remains to be seen. It takes a couple of days for damage to really show.

I still can't figure out what to get for my son. He is a 27 yr.old gamer with an interest in wildlife. He has lost weight but I don't know what size he is now. He's a gamer but after having his Wii stolen in the break-in he has been hesitant to buy another one until he sees enough interesting games out to make it worth it. He is like my husband, since getting a job he buys the things he really wants for himself. I want something that he can open on Christmas Day. Any suggestions?

I could help you think of some things if you help me figure out what to get for a mother, dad, brother, and a couple friends! Can't remember the last time i was this "last minute" but that's what happens when finals week is so friggin late!

Don't panic but Christmas is only about a week away. Noooooooooooooooooooo! How did it creep up like that?

For dad I could always fall back on the classic if nothing came to me - aftershave, peanut brittle and handkerchiefs. For mom it was something soft and girly. Something my dad would never think of. Can't help with brothers. Mine was too old to buy for. Too much of an age gape. Friends could be tickets, gift cards to book stores or coffee shops, maybe their favorite alcoholic beverage or a nice wine, new scarfs and mitten, maybe?

I'm glad the vegetable garden is faring well. I hope the tomates aren't damaged too much... (I like tomatoes... *g*)

Finding the right gift for aomeone is always difficult.
Isn't there something nice for bathing or an after shave he likes? Bath towel with his name...
I always ask people what they'd like... and get that...
Good luck!

Glad to hear the garden survived, more or less!

It's sooo difficult to buy for people who buy what they want themselves!

So, the only gaming platform he has is the Wii? What about a boxed set of wildlife documentaries?
