Christmas Tree

I thought I'd show off the tree that almost wasn't. It turned out to be a lovely day with church service then Skype with Rachel and then dinner with my son and then a Kung Fu Panda marathan that I sleep part of the way through. It's quiet now. The food is put away and I'm sitting here with a few left-overs and some spiked egg nog. I want to turn on the last Pirates movie but I would probably fall asleep and miss half of it so I'll watch it tomorrow.

Here's the tree and my Christmas villages.

Your tree worked out just fine, glad to know i wasn't the only one with a near tree travesty though :) I haven't had villages for a few years, mostly because our big BooBoo is under the impression that he is the mayor of the little villages....

OMG Yes, I could see Lido lumbering through the village creating havoc and mass destruction which is probably why I never put them up at home. I usually kept such pieces at the office but when buying what I thought were new pieces I ended up with a bunch of duplicate buildings so decided to create a whole new town. It almost got out of hand with buying people and trees and little extras.

It looks wonderful sweetie!
I manage to break five of the six houses I had... so I tossed the last one out as well... It wasn't as if I put them up anymore anyway...
Maybe it's time to buy something new for next year's Christmas! *g*

I originally only had one set for the office decorations but then I got a few duplicate buildings and when I couldn't find anyone who needed them I started a second set. Kinda' got carried away but the results were nice so...

The Little Witch always loved them and I always put them up.
I never intended to throw them out, but then again I never intended to break them either. *curses butter fingers*

I think with all the changes new Christmas decorations might be a good idea... next year. *g*

They always did look nice... Do you put candles inside or lights?

Another reason for putting them up this year was no cats this year to play Gulliver's Travels amongst the "Tiny Town". Lido would have caused mass destruction and havoc with the set up.

These houses are not made for candles or lights. I was thinking I could put a string of white lights under the snow next year and I'm going to have to move them to a bigger space. Hubbie and I were thinking about putting them under the tree and adding his train set to it.

Yes, cats can be a hazard when putting things like that out.
That would be a great idea! To have a whole tiny town under the tree!

In mine you could put these little candles so light would shine through the windows.

My neighbour has a whole town in her window, with lights and moving stuff. An icerink and a sleigh and blinking lights in a miniature christmas tree. It always looks really festive.

thank you. *hugs* Thanks for the suggestion for the tree. I needed that since I wasn't thinking clearly at the moment.

Yeah, I kinda' got carried away with those (buying pieces and such) but it was worth it when I saw the end result. My son noticed them straight away when he walked in the front door.
