The Third Day of Christmas

What is Christmas without festive candles? I don't go for big flashy display on the outside of the house. I think a single candle or a trio of them in each window with a single string of lights outlining the house is just prefect. Candles add a special touch. They give a soft glow and can add that prefect scent to a room. I like candles so much that I wouldn't be surprised if they show up again in a later post.

I love candles, but all I can use now are the jar type (cats). But they go year round when I'm home

Candles are always nice but dangerous around your bunch. It's nice that someone came up with a "contained" candle.

I'm always on the lookout for new candles.

I'm swimming against the stream here - I'm really not big on candles at all. Tinsel. It isn't Christmas without tinsel icicles on the tree!

Everybody has there own thing. I love tinsel too. I hate trying to get it off the tree but I love the way it looks. I need to find a new box for the tree(s) this year. Enough for the home and office tree.

I'm one of those weirdos who takes the tinsel off very carefully and recycles it for use the next year. I think I've been working on the same pack of tinsel for about ten years. lol

I had one of my sisters bring me a bunch of packets a few years back... it's very difficult to find here in Aus.

You have far more patience than I would. The first couple times the tinsel gets tangled I'd be ripping it off and the rest just wouldn't survive.

*g* Some might call me rather anal about it. It's a bigger production to take the tree down than it is to put it up. *g* (that might be because I'll let the elflings help me decorate the tree, but when it comes to taking it all down, I want to do it by myself)

Oh yeah, I get it. When you put the tree up you have lots of help and then if you are like me all the wrappings and boxes for everything just get tossed back in the storage box but when you have to put it away right everything has to go in the right spot and right order. It's like a Tetris game. It takes at least twice as long.

I pack the empty ornament boxes away neatly too, because otherwise they wouldn't fit in the storage boxes. lol It does seem to take longer to get things back into their proper box than it did to take them out, and I invariably miss an ornament and only discover it when I'm taking the tree apart. lol

I love that you do these pics every day bon! Candles are definitely a big part of Christmas. :)

Thank you. The posting has been fun. I felt like I had become lazy when it came to LJ so I decided to do this for Christmas. It has helped keep me in the spirit while we wait for the roofing to be done. I'm itching to decorate so this is a new substitute. I'm glad you are enjoying it.
