Accomplishments in 2016

I did have a challenge for yesterday and just never got it written down so I'll do two today. Yesterdays challenge was to do the end of the year taxes (up to the next payroll check) for the organization. Now it isn't as much of a challenge knowledge wise as it was 10 years ago when I started. Back then I would lock myself in my office for hours refusing to take calls and answer questions until it was finished. Now I basically know the procedure and challenge is a boss arriving at a critical moment and insisting on being heard despite me frantically typing on my keyboard and having papers all over the desk. It did get done, tax rate changed and checks printed. The next part of the challenge is the W-2 and those blasted 1099's with the little X in the box. If there are any bookkeepers out there you know of what I speak. But the other is done for now.

My challenge today is to move around more. I sit at a desk for hours at a time and I think it will help my diet as well as my circulation if I get up about every hour and walk the halls. The building is a large rectangle with a "U" shaped hall that one can walk around and around and around. I'm usually alone here so no funny looks if I decide to swing my arms around while I'm walking. I've done it once already and plan to do it at least 4 more times.

I'm also still on my diet. Yeah!

It must feel good to have all that done, even with someone interupting.

Oh, I hear you. I should do that too, as well as get back on the hometrainer. It's right there and I haven't used it for almost a year.

maybe I should challenge myself...? (or just plainly kick my own butt - that might get the message across sooner! *g*)

Well done, you!

Yeah, hometrainers are good as long as we use them. My daughter was talking about getting a machine for their home because she hates the gym. I told that was great as long as she used it and it didn't turn into a clothes rack or a climbing toy for the cats.

I'm sad to report that I only walked three separate circuits around the building before I got to distracted to stop. I'm going to try again today.
