Conference/Vacation Part 2?

We had such a good time and every place we went was so cool that I've split it up into several parts. I'm going to start with the town of Safety Harbor where our hotel was located. I'll post one picture and then put the rest under the cut for those who want to read more.

This is believed to be the oldest live oak in the county (between 300-500 years old). It was huge with its own fence that surrounded it and wooden props for some of the lower hanging branches and if you look at it closer it is dripping with Spanish Moss.
The town had many quaint houses and shops. Sometimes houses that were shops.
Also some picturesque parks
The town seemed to be an artist retreat or was at one time because as I walked down the sidewalk I came across a curious sight.
I knew I recognized these eyes though most of the rest of the body was faded away or scrubbed off. There was another shape next to the cute like robot but it didn't appear to be his female companion instead it more resembled the little barrel shaped robot from Star Wars - R2D2. Who recognizes those eyes? I started to look more carefully and discovered there were many more sidewalk drawings throughout the shop center area. Some were so faded that they were almost unrecognizable but I posted a couple that were clearer.
The last picture is very light but after concentrating on the figure to the right I recognized Hobbs the tiger from the Calvin and Hobbs comic. Calvin is to the left of his tiger pal and very, very faint.
The painting was reserved for the sidewalk as there were several very nice murals on the sides of buildings. The hotel/spa was an adventure in itself so I'm saving it for a separate entry.

It was. The tree took up half of the park area but it was a beautiful sight.

Yes! It's Wall-E! It was so funny to see him staring up at me from the cement and even more fun after realizing the old drawing were there to go back and find all the things I walked right over because they were either very faint or I was more interested in the shops the first time.

The grapefruit seemed to be a theme. I saw a similar painting on a wall at the hotel.
