May Flowers

Oops! I skipped a day so I'll offer three today. These are from my walk on the beach on Monday and are all dune flowers. I had to do some research to distinguish between the two purple flowers. The flowers are definitely different but the vines they grow on are very much alike.

I love the morning glory! Lovely colour!
It's viney isn't it?

Never seen any of these here at the beach.
And I DO love the little sunflower. *g*

Yes, the morning glory is a vine. It looked so much like the beach pea that I thought maybe the flowers on the pea might have been just buds.

I'm not sure if the little sunflowers do well in colder climates or the others for that matter. They might be more tropical versions of the plants.

We can grow sunflowers here but they don't grow in the wild
