Hurricane Matt

Getting ready for Hurricane Matt. We're not sure what it is going to do yet but whatever it is it will happen tomorrow sometime. Got out early to get some last minute stuff for the office done and to stop by to clear all potential flying objects from the vegetable garden. We were clearing it for replanting so nothing will get lost in the storm. I freed a raccoon from the dumpster. He would probably prefer weathering the storm in his tree home than in a big metal box. Going to the office to do some backups and then to the boss' home to help him move some things inside. He just got out the stitches from surgery on his shoulder. Then it is back home to help hubbie cover the windows and bring in the plants.

Just so no one worries needlessly, if you're listening to weather reports I live in Hollywood, Fl which is between Miami and Ft. Lauderdale. I am not that close to the beach so we never evacuate and we don't have a problem with flooding. We are not near a canal. Have a good day everyone and stay safe. I plan to. *hugs*

I was just going through all my people over there and your name came up. Hope everything blows itself out before it gets to any of you.

That is what we hope, too, but in the meantime we are preparing. I made it back home to get things ready here.

It's not the first time. The raccoons climb into the dumpsters looking for an easy meal but sometimes find them too empty to climb back out. I was throwing away some old tomato plant cages and leaned them against the side. The raccoon used it (the way I hoped) and was gone before I returned with the next load of trash. I need to remind the owners to keep the dumpsters covered. I'm glad the little guy or girl got out.

Yes, you are right. If the dumpsters are covered, there won't be any trapped animals.

You are writing in means you are quite safe...*nods*
