Big Smile Today - my students and I finished our landscaping project. It turned out quite well (if I don't say so myself, which I do) :)) It is a butterfly garden (in front) and an herb garden (in the back). Only two of my students could be there for the installation because the other family's moving schedule changed and they left a couple of days ago. :( The staff at the schoolhouse has promised to keep everything watered while I am away. :)

We finally have little pumpkins and melons, and a few sunflowers have opened
I wish I had the same knowledge you have with plants...
The knowledge has come over time but I've found I really enjoy working with the soil.
Squash, huh. That's something we always have problems with. Anything in the gourd family from pumpkins and squash to cucumbers tends to get eaten or rots. I've pretty much given up on growing any of that in our high humility. I wish you the best. You'll have to take some pictures of the fruit if you are successful.
