100 Things that make me smile!

What I did over the weekend (I copied this to FB. This was great fun. A little nerve-wrecking and palm sweating but each climb offered a little more confidence. I climbed four times and made it all the way to the top three times. I missed the fourth time by just a foot or two (it was the first climb). My climbing partner and I plan to do it again in the near future.

That looks awesome, although it's not for me.
I'm not doing well with heights... any heights! :)

Neither was I a few years ago. It's been a struggle but it is something I wanted to overcome. I started with lighthouses and then tall building then mountains (or least tall hills and rock formations) and then finally to this. Don't know where the fear came from but decided one day to banish it back from where it crept out (wherever that was).

I can say that I only glanced down at the floor once, usually the only time I looked down was at my feet to check for convenient foot placements. The rest of the time I was looking up, always up.

I have no clue what caused it either: it's always been there and I know it's something that's "between my ears" but it makes me dizzy and nauseous to stand any where high. Funny thing is I have it too when watching a movie. You know, a view down from a skyscraper or tower and I react the same.

Not sure if it's something I want to do anything about, at least not now. :)

Still, go you for doing this!

Mine has not always been there. I used to climb trees, towers, mountain ridges and all kinds of things. I do get bothered by roller coaster in movies. They drop and so does my stomach.

Somethings it is probably best to leave alone.

I never felt the need to get into a rollercoaster. Probably for the same reason. *g*

Maybe someday, but not now!

It's been a few years for me. Haven't been on one since the kids were in school. I went on a merry-go-round a couple of times in the last couple years. Does that count?

Sure! ;) It goes around right? And sometimes even up and down... ;)

I guess I lucked out with a daughter who never felt the need to go on a rollercoaster either... ;)
She doesn't like theme parks at all. Never did, not even when she was younger.

We're weird like that. ;)

I think that looks like something Son#1 would have enjoyed!

I have no doubt that he would have been all over those walls even the ones that slanted out and up over the ceiling.

It was so much fun and very challenging. I started the day with a sore knee that I thought might keep me from going but I was so determined and by the time I was done the pain was gone and hasn't come back.
