May 31st blooms

This is my last set of flowers. I thought I'd leave you with a question. What is the last flower?

There will be more pictures but not until after the birthday excursion on Wednesday. Have a wonderful holiday! *hugs*

It's beeees! I don't know what the last one is but the leaves around it sort of look slightly like a succulent.

I was a bit nervous taking that picture but when the results were three bees in flight it was worth it.

It's not a succulent. It's a flower of a vegetable but which one? It's not an every day veggies either.

The flower is from an okra plant. I'm trying my hand at growing some. It's a pretty flower so I snapped a picture.

Utterly wonderful!
Today was my best friend's 25th Wedding Anniversary, she would have loved all three!

I have no clue what the last one is, It looks wonderful though!

Thanks for sharing hun!
*hugs*

Edit: Loved the bees! What are the odds to catch four bees of which three are flying into the same direction!

The bees photo was a bit scary cause I had to get over them to get the shot but apparently worth it.

The last one was from my vegetable garden. It's the flower of an okra. Not your typical veggie. I'm trying my hand at growing some.

I didn't know the plant and I'm too late to play now, but they are all very pretty anyway.

I've never heard of an okra - what does it taste like?

No problem. This is the first time I saw the flowers of the okra plant. I kinda got excited and started taking pictures. Okra and certain bean plants are the few things that can survive the heat, humidity and bugs of a South Florida summer. The okra is a vegetable usually common to the southern states and is served boiled, in soup
or coated in bread crumbs and fried. I like it fried. The boiled version is kinda slimy. I don't know how to describe the taste. I guess it is similiar to eggplant. Are you familiar with that? This is probably more than you wanted to know about okra.
